Leonard R. Stensland Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Leonard R. Stensland of Glen Carbon, Illinois, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on January 15, 2025 at the age of 96. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Leonard R. Stensland to pay them a last tribute.
As we bid farewell to this cherished soul, solace is taken in the memories held dear — the laughter shared, the wisdom imparted, the moments of quiet reflection in their presence. Though Leonard may no longer walk among us, his spirit lives on in the echoes of his kindness, the warmth of his embrace, and the light of his enduring love.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur Stensland and Cecelia Stensland (Schachtshober); his former wife Mary Ann Klaus; and his wife Harriett Geudtner (Wampole). He is survived by: his sons, Jeff Stensland (Janine) of Wheaton, IL, Kelvin Stensland (Chris) of Ames, IA and Craig Stensland (Julie) of Edwardsville, IL. He is also survived by seven grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews, extended family.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 25th 2025 at 1:15 PM at the Meridian Village Chapel (27 Auerbach Pl, Glen Carbon, IL 62034).
