It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Laverne M. Holshouser of Glen Carbon, Illinois, who passed away on September 10, 2020, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband John F. "Jack" Holshouser; her son Larry Holshouser; her parents, William Howerton and Mae Howerton; and her siblings, Marvin Howerton and Dorothy Taake.
She is survived by: her children, Richard J. "Rick" Holshouser (Brenda) of Edwardsville, IL, Diane Grisham (Michael) of Raleigh, IL and Chris Underwood (Keith) of Troy, IL; her grandchildren, Paul Holshouser (Lori), Andrew Holshouser (Jennifer), Nicholas Holshouser (Christina Denmark), Amanda Oberneuffermann (Rachel), Jennifer Clark (Matthew), Daniel Grisham (Jodi Simmons), Timothy Grisham (Shana), Maggie Hewitt (Zach), Zac Underwood, Robyn Proctor (Chris), Larry Holshouser (Brittany) and Sarah Manuel (Brandon); her great grandchildren, Kayla Holshouser, Bella Summers, Carson Robert Hewitt, Jared Holshouser, Martin Simmons, LiLu Mae Simmons-Grisham, Michael Grisham, Bennett Figas, Emma Yancey, Josie, Emily, Daniel Manar, Owen Manuel, Hayden Oberneuffermann, Oakleigh Furlong, Holden Clark and Lucas Holshouser; and her great great grandchild Aden Holshouser.
