With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Kathryn May Modene of Glen Carbon, Illinois, born in New Bedford, Massachusetts, who passed away on November 23, 2023 at the age of 96. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, James H. (Katherine) and McDonnell, Sr.; her husband William Thomas Modene; her son James Charles Modene; her brothers, James H. McDonnell, Jr. and Edward "Brother Sean" McDonnell; her niece Kathy Modene; her nephew Larry Modene; and her siblings-in-law, Charles "Chuck" and Rose Modene.
She is survived by: her grandchildren, Kathryn M. "Katie" Modene of Alton, Jessica Rose "Jessie" Modene (Lance Crocker) of Eldred and William James Modene of Wood River; her great grandchildren, Aubrey Rose Crocker and Maia Kathleen Crocker; her daughter-in-law Shelley K. Bushong of Fieldon, Illinois; her nieces and nephews, Mary Modene, Debbie McDonnell, Tara Fall and Shea McDonnell; and her sister-in-law Pearl McDonnell.
