It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James Richard Sauerwein of Glen Carbon, Illinois, born in Bunker Hill, Illinois, who passed away on February 28, 2021, at the age of 76, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, John Sauerwein and Ruth Sauerwein (Zarges); and his siblings, Eldon Sauerwein, Irvin Sauerwein, Sylvia Simpson and Bernice Mortimer.
He is survived by: his wife Judith Sauerwein (Stille) of Glen Carbon, IL; his children, Emily Thouvenot (Matthew) of Glen Carbon, IL and Brian Sauerwein of Edwardsville, IL; his grandchildren, Brian Sauerwein, Jr., Ava Sauerwein and Kolten Sauerwein; and his siblings, Victor Sauerwein (Charlene) of Bunker Hill, IL and Wilma Stinnett (Dick) of Alton, IL..
