He was predeceased by: his parents, Paul Klaus and Alma Klaus (Lehmann); his son Brian W.; his daughter-in-law Evelyn (Nochta); his great grandchild Gregory Sill; and his siblings, Raymond Klaus and Martha Wyzard (Klaus).
He is survived by: his wife Betty E. Barks of Granite City, IL.; his son Gregory Klaus (Janet) of Troy, IL; his grandchildren, Emily Sill (Barrett) of Troy, IL, Melissa Erb (Barry) of Alhambra, IL, Erin Dunn (Shawn) of Troy, IL and Bradley Klaus of Glen Carbon, IL; his great grandchildren, Hunter, Keaton Erb, Victoria, Gabriel, Lucas, Anna Sill, Shawn and Wesley Dunn; and his sisters, Pauline Squires (Klaus) and Marjorie Foret (Klaus).
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, Disabled American Veterans or Eden Village.
