He was predeceased by: his parents, Opal Marie Garland and Gerald Glenwood Spencer; his sister Peggy Spencer Jones; and his stepson Andrew Scott Wilson. He is survived by: his wife Ellen Aline McMackin Spencer; his children, Marie Spencer Moore (Randy Moore), Margaret Spencer Fix (Eric Fix), Jacqulyn Spencer Negal (Dan Negal) and Gerald J Spencer (Jessica Neely Spencer); his stepsons, John David Wilson (Stacey Albin Wilson) and Paul Richard Wilson (Carrie Mueller Wilson); his grandchildren, Drake Wilson, Alex Joiner, Micah Wilson, Abram Wilson, Anna Wilson, Rian Fix, Tyne Moore, Hayden Mackey, Russel Negal and William Spencer; his great grandchild Violet Wilson; his siblings, Carmalee Spencer Johnson (Richard Johnson) and Robert Spencer (Brenda Spencer); and his aunt Meryrt Oexeman. He is also survived by his wife, children, grands, family, and friends.
