It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Elaine Marie Knecht (Glen Carbon, Illinois), born in Edwardsville, Illinois, who passed away on April 29, 2020, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, George A. Rinkel and Edna Rinkel (Poos); her husband Howard Knecht; her children, James Knecht and Norma Chlibec; and her brother George A. Rinkel.
She is survived by: her daughters, Caryl Piper (Ed) of Edwardsville, Rita Molitor (Donald) of St. Peters and Lela Thompson (Randy) of Edwardsville; her siblings, Marlin Rinkel (Louise) of Troy, Paul Rinkel (Vicki) of Glen Carbon, Richard Rinkel (Judy) of Huntsville, Alabama and Lynette Noeltner of Waterloo, Illinois; and her children-in-law, Vida Knecht of East Alton and Ronald Chlibec of Glen Carbon. She is also survived by nine grandchildren; nine great grandchildren.
