He was predeceased by: his parents, Guy Martin and Birdie Martin (Henderson); his son Mark Bone; and his siblings, Jim Martin Bob Martin, Bill Martin, Arthur Martin, Pearl Martin, Glenda Spradling, Gladys Young and Cora Zimmerman.

He is survived by: his wife Linda Rappsis; his children, Elizabeth Schoffstal (Ed), Becky Casper (William), Star Breihan (Thomas), Carl Clayton Jr. (Patricia) and Jesse Bone; and his siblings, Melvin Martin and Dorothy Blevins. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; 1 great-great grandchild.
