She was predeceased by: her husband Harold S. Barton; her daughter Laurie Schanz; her parents, Joseph Cherneski and Frances A.; and her brother Willard Cherneski.
She is survived by: her children, Michael Barton (Deborah) of Belleville, IL and Jody Wente (David) of Glen Carbon, IL; her son-in-law Charles Schanz (Sue) of Summerfield, FL; her grandchildren, Sarah Barton, Andrew Barton, Joseph Schanz (Maggie), Jill Kerver (Matt), Hannah Wente and Madison Wente; her great grandchildren, Jackson, Jamison Kerver, Charlie Jane and Rhodes Schanz; and her sister Helen Fiegel (Richard). She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
