He was predeceased by: his parents, Dwight W. Young and Sharon Rose Young (Coats). He is survived by: his siblings, Ronnie L. Young of Canton, Terry L. Young (Diana) of Glasford, Tracy D. Young (Jacqueline) of Glasford and Hollye C. Herndon of East Peoria; his nieces and nephews, Melissa, Mark, Erika, Tera, Luke, Kaci, Kaitlyn, Arianna, Alanni, Bethany, Matthew and Rachel; his great-nieces and great-nephews, Hailye, Logan, Brylee, Parker, Cooper, Kylor, Turner, Grady, Tennisyn, Hayden, Merisa and Darion; his aunts, Sara Jane Moore (Jess) of Joliet and Joyce Shafer (Marvin) of Glasford; and his brother Kenny Mooney.
Visitation was held on Friday, January 24th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM at the Glasford United Methodist Church (207 E 4th St, Glasford, IL 61533). A funeral service was held on Friday, January 24th 2025 at 11:30 AM at the same location.
