He was predeceased by: his parents, Howard Boothe and Lenora Boothe; and his grandson Tanner Boothe. He is survived by: his children, Thomas Boothe and Laurey Ann Gray (Grant); his grandchildren, Chase Gray, Torri Gray and Dillon Boothe; his great grandchildren, Caroline and Charlie; and his sisters, Sandy and Chris. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.

A memorial has been established for the Des Moines County Humane Society.
