He is survived by: his children, David Schaafsma (Jennifer) of Bloomington and Kari A. Moen (Sean) of Crete, IL; his grandchildren, Rylee, Marisa, Drew, Cole, Sarah and Anna; and his siblings, Leonard Schaafsma (Carol) of Oak Forest, IL, Rose Marie Cupples (Ray) of Michigan City, IN and Joanne Behrens of Midlothian, IL. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
