He was predeceased by: his parents, Herman G. and Pauline Rothe; his grandson Michael King; and his brothers, Herman L., Earl, Alvin and Norman Rothe.
He is survived by: his wife Norma; his children, Danny Rothe, Doug Rothe of Springfield, IL, Teri, Jeri Rothe of Alton, IL and Cheri Roper (Rich) of Carlinville, IL; and his grandchildren, Sara Rothe, Eric King, Keri Healy, Luke Hays, Mandy Barbre, Tori Rothe, Matt Rothe, Jacey Roper, Briley Roper and Kaney Roper. He is also survived by nine great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
