He was predeceased by: his parents, Jesse Garnett and Dora Wheeler (Humphrey); and his siblings, Frankie Releford, Garnet Nelson, Louise Huffman, Wilma Wheeler and Murrell Wheeler.
He is survived by: his wife Joyce Ann; and his children, Leigh Ann Gebhardt (Don) of Lexington, KY, Dwayne Wheeler of Girard, IL, Donnie Wheeler of Decatur, IL and Brian. He is also survived by two granddaughters, several nieces and nephews.
