He was predeceased by: his parents, Eli Collins and Lucy Collins. He is survived by: his wife Jane Maye Collins of Girard, IL; his daughters, Dr. Kim Collins (Joe Murphy) of Champaign, IL and Kris Lancaster (Darrin) of Edwardsville, IL; his grandchildren, Quinton Murphy, Kennis Murphy and Ella Lancaster; his sister Paula Mouser (Larry) of Girard, IL; and his brother-in-law Don Myers (Louise) of Springfield, IL. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews.
Visitation was held on Friday, December 27th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Davis-Anderson Funeral Home (226 N 3rd St, Girard, IL 62640). A funeral service was held on Saturday, December 28th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Saturday, December 28th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Girard Cemetery.
Memorial may be made to Girard Fire and Rescue or the Girard United Methodist Church.
