She was predeceased by: her parents, Ernest Parson and Bertie Parson (Brown); her husband Henry Shackleford; her daughter Katherine Ann Miles; and her siblings, Dorman Parson and Ernestine Augusta.
She is survived by: her daughter Christie Michelle Shackleford of Raleigh, NC; her grandchildren, Madison Alexis, Olivia Nichole Plesche, Brent and Mark Miles; and her great grandchildren, Ashley Marie Miles and Nathan Miles. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
