James Philip Cherry Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of James Philip Cherry of Girard, Illinois, born in Springfield, Illinois, who passed away on February 25, 2024 at the age of 69. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Philip Church Cherry and Helen Louise Cherry (Allen); his sister Cindy Sidwell; his brothers-in-law, Paul Sidwell and Bob Bilbruck; his nephew Scott Long; his father-in-law Rev. Randol Mercer; and his brother-in-law Marty Mercer.
He is survived by: his wife Dawn Cherry of Girard, IL; his children, Jeff Cherry (Lyndsey) of Ozark, MO, Andy Cherry (Melissa) of Sunset Hills, MO and Jill Cherry (Jim Hoffmann) of Troy, IL; his grandchildren, Owen Jeffrey, Winnie Harper, Evan James, Raymond James and Winston Philip Cherry; and his sisters, Betsy Bilbruck of Girard, IL, Nancy Sanson of Girard, IL, Julie Boente of Carlinville, IL and Kathy Hopkins (Terry) of Girard, IL. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
