He was predeceased by: his parents, Vernon James and Golda "Goldie" Fern Miller Vance; his brothers, Gerald and Loren Vance; his sisters-in-law, Kay Vance and Dorothy Vance; his niece Vicki Vance; and his parents-in-law, Rev. Rodney Ruberg and Evelyn Ruberg.
He is survived by: his wife Sherron Lynne Ruberg; his children, Gayle Fornshell (Bill) of Arthur, IL and Scott Vance (Christine) of Virden, IL.; his great grandchildren, Bryan Vance of Girard, IL., Haily Vance of Mt. Vernon, IL, Hunter Vance of Charleston, IL, Chelsea Vance of Chatham, IL, Abbey Bone (Nolan) of Shelbyville, IL, Caleb Smith (Whitney) of Sullivan, IL and Zach Smith (Heather) of Mattoon, IL; and his siblings-in-law, Rev. Rodney Ruberg, Jr. (Marilyn), Rev. Joe Ruberg (Pam), Dee Plunket and Carol Vance.
