Roger E. Hamlin Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Roger E. Hamlin of Gillespie, Illinois, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on November 16, 2024 at the age of 75. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As Roger departs from our midst, his spirit ascends to join the cosmic dance of stars, a shimmering constellation of memories that will forever grace the night sky of the hearts of those who loved Roger. Though Roger may no longer walk beside us, his legacy lives on — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of time and space.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Billy Hamlin and Kathryn Hampton Hamlin. He is survived by: his wife Mary Lou Hamlin (Sandretto) of Gillespie, IL; his daughter Stacey Hull (Matt) of Springfield, IL; his granddaughter Rosalie Jean Hull; his brother Larry Hamlin (Melinda) of Mechanicsburg, IL; and his brothers-in-law, Rob Sandretto (Angela) of Gillespie, IL and Maynard Hampton (Brenda) of Litchfield, IL. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Thursday, November 21st 2024 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Kravanya Funeral Home (203 E Elm St, Gillespie, IL 62033). A funeral service was held on Thursday, November 21st 2024 at 7:00 PM and on Friday, November 22nd 2024 at 11:00 AM.
