It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Lawrence Vernon Fortin of Gillespie, Illinois, born in Greenville, Illinois, who passed away on August 13, 2021, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Fortin and Lillian Fortin (Oglesby); and his wife Judith Faye Fortin (Huddleston). He is survived by: his daughters, Mary Pocklington (Jeff) of Moberly, MO, Trudi Herron of Staunton, IL and Sarah Brozio of Springfield, IL; and his grandchildren, Steven Baker, Dillon Brozio, Elizabeth Herron, Jacob Herron, Charles Ray Baker, Kylie Brozio, Alex Herron, Amelia Herron, Angelia Baker, Jeffrey Herron and Grace Herron. He is also survived by numerous great grandchildren.
