He was predeceased by: his parents, Harry Smith Sr. and Maggie Linton Smith; his daughter Annette F. Smith; and his siblings, William Smith, Harry Smith, Jr. and Betty Gentry.
He is survived by: his wife Frances Smith of Gillespie; his daughters, Karla Smith-Andrews (Chad) of Abingdon, IL and Karyn Mears (Norman) of Decatur, IL; his grandchildren, Kayla, Kelly, Zachary, Kaytie, Garrett, Bella and John, Jr.; and his great grandchildren, Maggie, Adie, Karter and Gwen.
