It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Emily R. Laughlin of Gillespie, Illinois, born in Springfield, Illinois, who passed away on April 18, 2023, at the age of 20, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her grandfather Ron Barber. She is survived by: her parents, Christina Barber (Harris) of Gillespie, Illinois and William Barber; her brothers, Devin Laughlin and William Barber; her grandparents, Ronald J. Harris, Kathy Harris, Elizabeth Barber, Susan, Jerry Heaton, Fred and Melissa Laughlin; and her great-grandparent Marie Harris.

Memorials are suggested to either St. Jude Research Hospital or to the Carol Jo Vecchie Women & Children's Center in Springfield, Illinois.
