We are sad to announce that on November 5, 2020, at the age of 86, Albert A. Hilmes of Gillespie, Illinois, born in Germantown, Illinois passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, August Hilmes and Regina Hilmes (Fehrmann). He is survived by: his brother Robert Hilmes of Millstadt; his children, Robert Hilmes (Gwen), Karen Hilmes and Andrea Griffith; and his stepchildren, Antoinette Sparkman, Christine Stroup, Jerry Lee Bunch, Mary Arinzchi, Ronald Smelser and David Smelser. He is also survived by many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
