He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Jessie and Fannie Neal; his wife Linda Bodel; and his siblings, Roy Lee, Harlan "Red", Herman, Allen "Bob" and Dorthey Jewell Koranda.

He is survived by: his children, Kelley Neal (Sue Kren) and Kasandra Funk (Robert); his grandsons, Kenneth and Kristopher; and his brothers, Thomas, Larry (Sharon) and Carlos. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
