Dorothy J. Liss Obituary

We bid farewell to Dorothy J. Liss of Gilberts, Illinois, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on February 21, 2025 at the age of 91. Dorothy touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, John and Rosa; her husband Jim; and her siblings, Eugene Eicherl, Gloria Everet and Lorraine Eicherl.

She is survived by: her children, James F. Liss (Joanne), Joseph A. Liss (Julie), Joanne McKinney (Matt) and John Liss; her grandchildren, Ethan Liss, Erica Conklin (Christian), Sunny Bell (Terrill), Ashley Liss, Joseph Liss (Susan), Shannon Thomas (James), Allison Thompson (Shawn), Libby McKinney, Justin Liss, Kendra Nobles (David) and Jordan Liss; and her sister Shirley Van Acker (Hank). She is also survived by nine Great Grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Friday, February 28th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church (845 W Main St, West Dundee, IL 60118). A funeral service will be held on Friday, February 28th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Friday, February 28th 2025 at the Huntley Cemetery.
