He was predeceased by: his parents, Nelson Sommer and Ella Kauffmann Sommer; and his siblings, Wayne Sommer, Willis Sommer (Rosalie) and Maxine Collum (Rod).
He is survived by: his wife Janice Sommer; his children, Bryan Sommer (Brenda) and Debbie Masters (Carl); his grandchildren, Isaac Masters (Riley), Hunter Masters (Morgan), Karlee Shields (Keith), Lane Sommer, Katie Burke (Braun) and Samantha Graham (Zachary); and his sister-in-law Joanne Sommer. He is also survived by eleven great-grandchildren.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Gibson City Bible Church or the Gibson Area Hospital-Annex.
