He was predeceased by: his parents, Roy Koonce and Merena Koonce (Jay); his wife Violet Pratt; his granddaughter Clarissa; and his brothers, Don, Bill and Keith.
He is survived by: his former wife Eileen Ingram; his children, Rev. Roy Koonce (Pete), Karen Farney (Francis), Rev. John Koonce (Lisa), Gayla May (David), Cheryl Thompson (Rick) and Kent Koonce (Kelly); his great great grandchild Tina Seifert; and his siblings, Harold Koonce (Bernice), Dorothy Gerhart, Aline Trulock, Arlene Gerwolls and Linda Sue Townsend (Charlie). He is also survived by 23 grandchildren; 31 great grandchildren.
