He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas J. Carroll and Mary Carroll (Mattingly); and his wife Carol A. Atteberry. He is survived by: his daughter Molly DuBois (Chris); his granddaughter Charlotte DuBois; and his siblings, Colette Ludwig (Kenny), Ann Carroll, Dr. Dennis Carroll and Kevin Carroll (Rita). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
