He was predeceased by: his parents, Benno F. Wernsman and Kathline Wernsman (Montz); his sons, David Wernsman and Paul Wernsman; his granddaughter Shae Michelle Wernsman; and his sister Joan Fandel.
He is survived by: his wife Linda M. Kern of Germantown Hills; his sons, Brian Wernsman (Debbie) of Germantown Hills and Keith Wernsman (Kriss) of Germantown Hills; his daughter-in-law Gayle Wernsman of Germantown Hills; his stepchildren, Tammi Vickery (Bud) of Bellville, IL, John Kern, Jr. (Angie) of Washington, IL and Matthew Kern of Aurora, CO; and his siblings, Benno Wernsman, Jr. of Germantown Hills, Philip Wernsman (Sandy) of Rockford, IL and Carol Miller (Dennis) of East Peoria, IL.. He is also survived by twelve grandchildren; five step-grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren.
