It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Richard Hanson of Germantown Hills, Illinois, born in Bertha, Minnesota, who passed away on February 13, 2021, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Lawrence Hanson and Dorothy Jean Hanson. He is survived by: his wife Barbara Haycook; his children, Mark Hanson, Margit Alderson (Todd) of Germantown Hills and Kirsten Hanson of West Peoria, Illinois; his grandchildren, Kelsey Alderson of Germantown Hills, Justin Alderson of Germantown Hills, Jordyn Hanson of Germantown Hills, Drew Hanson of Germantown Hills and Kayla Alderson of Germantown Hills; and his siblings, Beverly Bohach (Ned) of Sheffield, Iowa and Thomas Hanson (Karen) of Riverview, Florida. He is also survived by eight nieces and nephews, twenty grand-nieces and nephews, and fifteen great-grand-nieces and nephews.
