It is with great sadness that we announce the death of John Aloysius Riedell of Germantown Hills, Illinois, born in Lake View, Iowa, who passed away on December 19, 2021, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph A. Riedell and Flotilla Riedell (Frisbie). He is survived by: his wife Serafina M. Gonzalez of Germantown Hills; his sons, Shaun Riedell (Amy) of Springfield, IL, Shane Riedell (Beth) of Bartonville, IL and Aaron Riedell (Karen) of New London, MN; and his siblings, Joseph Riedell (Elaine) of Brisbane, CA, Paul Riedell (Linda) of Lake View, IA, Thomas Riedell (Sally) of Lake View, IA, Michael Riedell (Marjean) of Lake View, IA, Philip Riedell of Lake View, IA, Margaret Klus of Tigard, OR, Katherine Van Erezwyk (Gerald) of Breda, IA, Dolores Duncan of Sac City, IA and Yvonne Clausen of Lake View, IA.. He is also survived by eight grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to Central Illinois Right to Life, 4100 North Brandywine Drive, #6, Peoria, IL 61614 or to Masses at St. Mary of Lourdes Catholic Church.
