He is survived by: his parents, Shad Matre and Stacy Van Matre (Degner) of German Valley, IL; his brother Cory Van Matre of German Valley, IL; his grandparents, Richard and Lorraine Degner of Pecatonica, IL; his fiancé Skylar Smull of Pecatonica, IL; his parents-in-law, Katie and Bill Smull of Pecatonica, IL; and his pet Gixxer.
A memorial has been established in Shayne's memory.
