With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Darryl M. Van Matre of German Valley, Illinois, born in Freeport, Illinois, who passed away on August 29, 2020 at the age of 69. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Homer Matre and Kathryn Van Matre (Stevens); his son Jamon "Jake" Van Matre; his wife Deborah Van Matre; and his brothers, Don and Denny Van Matre.
He is survived by: his son Shad Van Matre (Stacy); his brother David Van Matre (Linda) of Cedarville; his grandchildren, Cory, Shayne (Skylar Smull) and Ella Van Matre; his mother-in-law Dawn Gibler; and his close friend Leah. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
A memorial has been established in Darryl's memory.
