With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Joseph Katavich of Georgetown, Illinois, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on January 30, 2025 at the age of 76. Though his name may fade from the lips of time, the imprint Joseph leaves upon the hearts of his loved ones remains eternally vivid — a testament to the depth of his spirit and the richness of his legacy.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Jacob Katavich and Louise Katavich (Clark); and his sister Norma Vice. He is survived by: his wife Cynthia Kay Katavich; his sons, Jay Katavich (Tracie) and Dan Katavich (Erica); his grandchildren, Jacob Katavich, Madison Lund (Karstan), Hailey Hunter and Case Katavich; and his sister Kay Dugger (Jack).
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, February 4th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Sunset Funeral Home - Houghton Leasure (200 E West St, Georgetown, IL 61846). A celebration of life will be held on Tuesday, February 4th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the same location.
