He was predeceased by: his parents, Opal Wheeler, and Edwin Wheeler, Sr.; his brothers, Edwin and Francis Wheeler; and his great grandchild Emma.
He is survived by: his wife Dorothy Wheeler; his children, Linda Gardner (Randall) and Timothy Wheeler (Carla); his grandchildren, Jill Turner (Lance), Valerie Winland (Adam), Kathryn Bartenschlag (Michael), Bryan Wheeler (Michaela), Matt Gardner (Susie) and Ryan Gardner; and his close friends, David, Brenda Smith and Tony Staub. He is also survived by 10 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Saturday, January 25th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Vermilion Grove Friends Church (123 N Main St, Georgetown, IL 61846). A funeral service was held on Saturday, January 25th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
Memorial contributions can be made in his name to the Vermilion Grove Friends Church.
