It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Barbara Simmons of Georgetown, Illinois, born in Danville, Illinois, who passed away on June 9, 2023, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Loran E. Lewis and Rosa McNeese Lewis; her husband Guy Barton Simmons; and her brothers, Robert R. Lewis and William Pleas "Butch" Lewis.
She is survived by: her son Douglas DeBarba (Carla) of Danville; her siblings, Loran Lewis Jr. of Oklahoma, Nancy Newlin of Georgetown, IL and Donna Hall (Bob) of Kokomo, IN; her grandchildren, Douglas DeBarba Jr. (Jessica) and Brandy Dougherty (Louis); and her great grandchildren, Aubrey, Bradley, Cyrus, Treo, Myleea and Presley.
