She was predeceased by: her parents, Lloyd Smeltzer and Hertha Smeltzer (Olsen); her siblings, Barbara Over and Robert Smeltzer; and her sons, Scott Wentz Gliddon and Jay Steven Gliddon.
She is survived by: her husband Lavoy Wentz Gliddon; her children, Christine Freise (Wayne), Reid Gliddon (Basia), Susanne Ryan (Christopher) and Jeannine Owens (Douglas); her grandchildren, Jennifer Hauch (Jens), Julia Buchli (Richard), Kevin Freise (Hilary), Kyle Freise, Alexandra O'Connor (Jack), Katherine Ryan (Christopher Stuart), Matthew Ryan (Kelley), Oliver Owens and Quincy Owens; and her sister Miriam Erhenfeld. She is also survived by 14 great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her name to the National Alliance on Mental Illness or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
