She was predeceased by: her parents, Frank and Clara Nelson (Sester); her sister-in-law Kristine Nelson; and her cousin Loretta Herrmann. She is survived by: her sons, Rick Schell (Opal) and Randy Schell (Linda); her grandchildren, Brian Schell (Denise), Jeffrey Schell (Michelle), Max Schell, Rebecca Schell Vetter (Paul) and Alicia Schell; her great grandchildren, Haleigh, Calli, Emily and Harleigh; and her brothers, Frank R. Nelson and Richard Nelson (Shirley).
Visitation was held on Thursday, December 19th 2024 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Cooper-Quiram Chapel (202 E Main St, Genoa, IL 60135). A funeral Mass was held on Friday, December 20th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the St. Catherine of Genoa Church (340 S Stott St, Genoa, IL 60135).
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the family for a fund to be established.
