It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Penelope (Penny) Swanson of Genoa, Illinois, born in Sycamore, Illinois, who passed away on August 13, 2022, at the age of 63, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Paul Swanson and Barbara Swanson (Berg). She is survived by: her son Michael D. Thompson; her daughter-in-law Rachel of Cortland, IL; her grandchildren, Kyla Jamar, Braden Bain Jamar, Kaleb Jamar and McKenna Thompson; her great grandchild Braylen Bain Jamar; her siblings, Crystal Gahlbeck (Mike) of Genoa, Paul Swanson of Genoa and Stanley Jr. Swanson (Tami) of Ohio; her nieces and nephews, Samantha Dieckman (Darren), Kaitlyn Hostetler (Chance), Josh Gahlbeck and Christopher Swanson; her great-nephew Dominic Dieckman; and her aunt Dolores Young. She is also survived by many cousins and other relatives.
