He was predeceased by: his parents, Earl Barry and Martha Barry (Herrmann); his wife Johanne "Jo" Hansen; his son Michael Barry; his granddaughter Kristina Barry; and his siblings, Keith, Bill Barry, Mary Freeman and Johanne Barry.

He is survived by: his daughter Lisa Barry; his great grandchildren, Ashlee and Tyler; his siblings, Jim Barry (Ruth) and Sandy Baskins; his sister-in-law Dorothy Barry; and his pet Dutch. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
