With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Janet E. Brooks of Genoa, Illinois, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on February 4, 2025 at the age of 88. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Walter and Hazel Friend (Boyer); her sister Mary Grimm; her siblings-in-law, Ernie Grimm, Ralph McDermott, Lloyd Smith, Harry Brooks and Dorothy McDermott; and her great grandchildren, Justin Miracle and Jacob Peppers.
She is survived by: her sons, Terry (Sherri) of Kingston, IL, Jeffrey (Nancy) of DeKalb, Ronald of Letart, WV and Douglas of Genoa; her grandchildren, Graig (Angie), Raychelle Atha (Shawn), Jeromy (Beth), Chad (Melissa), Ben (Kay), Jason (Hannah), Sabrina Loyd (Ryan), Nick, Tony (Jennifer) and Derek; and her sisters-in-law, Hazel Smith and June Brooks. She is also survived by several great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, and nieces and nephews; sister, June Friend; brothers.
