It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James Murphy (Genoa, Illinois), who passed away on January 14, 2020, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, George Murphy and Margaret Murphy (Gilooley); his wife Carole Anne Dorries; his siblings, Joanne Trawinski, Jane VanReck, Larry Murphy (Clare) and Patrick Murphy (Pati); his sons, Michael Murphy, Timothy Murphy (Jill) and Terrence Murphy (Mary); and his grandchildren, Andrew Murphy, Lauren E. Murphy, Lauren A. Murphy, Gwen Murphy, Kaleb Murphy, James Murphy, John Gariepy, Cassidy Murphy and Quincy Murphy.
