It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ila Mae Carroll of Genoa, Illinois, who passed away on July 31, 2022, at the age of 97, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Ila Mae Carroll to pay them a last tribute.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Monroe Smith, Sr. and Inez Smith (Funderburk); her son Gregg; her grandson Chaz Tischhauser; her great grandchild Lily Tischhauser; and her siblings, Emma Ackman and Monroe Smith, Jr..

She is survived by: her children, Thomas Carroll, III of Genoa, Janice Hoftender (Dennis) of Belvidere and Judy Tischhauser (Dave) of Genoa. She is also survived by ten grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made in her name to Faith United Methodist Church.
