He is survived by: his wife Joanne Zasopiar; his children, Patricia Chelmowski (Ray), Linda Ripper (Grant), George Bryan Helmold (Toni Ferraro) and Robert Helmold; his grandchildren, Christina Brown (Joshua), Jessica Smothers (Charlie), Katelyn Helmold, Benjamin Helmold, Dana Duke (Ethan), Jessica Olmo (Joseph) and Alexander Ripper; and his great grandchildren, Carly Smothers, Andrew Smothers, Joshua Smothers and Lily Olmo.
