It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Donald Peterson of Genoa, Illinois, born in Sycamore, Illinois, who passed away on May 23, 2023, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, LaVerne Peterson and Jeanne Peterson (Hanna); and his nephews, Roger and Ron Hoffman. He is survived by: his wife Nayna Lynn Saunders; his children, Deanna Bazan (Brian) of Plano and Bill Peterson (Liz) of Genoa; his grandchildren, Ashley, Cody Peterson, Hannah and Matthew Bazan; his sister Louise Hoffman (Tom); and his nieces, Renee Krabbe (Keith), Heather Wilkinson (Rick) and Brandi McAuley (Shane).
In lieu of flowers, memorial can be made to the Faith United Methodist Church of Genoa or Northern Illinois Hospice in care of the Slater-Butala Funeral Home, 132 W. Main, Genoa, IL. 60135.
