She was predeceased by: her husband Harold; her son Ronald; her grandson Jeffrie; and her sisters, Joyce Mathison and Barbara Nelsen (John).

She is survived by: her sons, David Houtz (Vicky) and Gerald Houtz (Robin); her grandchildren, Amanda Hunsaker (Butch), Amy Rice (Jason), Deanne Hansen (Brandon), Gary Franklin, Chad Houtz (Rosa) and Wendi Houtz; her sister Marge Blake; and her siblings-in-law, Harold Mathison and Frances Jorgensen (Fred).

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the Trinity Lutheran Church in care of the Slater-Butala Funeral Home, 132 W. Main St. Genoa, IL. 60135.
