He is survived by: his siblings, William Fitzsimmons (Bill) and Mary Ann Muehlbach (Fitzsimmons); his children, Lori Soglin (David) of Evanston, Robert Fitzsimmons II (Sheila M. Hughes) of Geneva and Jeanne Fitzsimmons of Chicago; his grandchildren, Robb (Laura), Matt, Christian, Tess Fitzsimmons, Brady, Emma and Andy Soglin; and his child Marwa Adam.
