It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Payson L. Harrington (Geneva, Illinois), born in Ann Arbor, Michigan, who passed away on April 1, 2023, at the age of 77, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Leo Harrington and Reba Harrington; and his brother Gaylord. He is survived by: his wife Nancy; his daughters, Marci Shumaker (Mark) of Columbus and Staci Schiele (Chad) of Elgin, Illinois; and his grandchildren, Payson, Ryker Schiele and Hadley Shumaker. He is also survived by many loving family members and friends.

“I wish to send my sympathy and condolences to Nancy, and the friends and family of Payson. I met him a long time ago at Bruin Lake Boy Scout Camp. We were in Junior Leaders training together, in the same patrol. I never forgot him and by a special turn of events I met his siter Julie. He had grown into a great leader and with a great family. I haven't seen or talked to him in a long time. I wish I had reached out to tell a friend I missed him. I send my many prayers and kind wishes.”
