He was predeceased by: his parents, Lewis Denton and Nancy Emaline Denton (Burris); his son John Kevin Denton; and his siblings, Floyd Denton, Joe Denton, Otis Denton, Harold Denton, Kelsey Fatheree, Nellie Henderson and Myrtle Sims.
He is survived by: his wife Geneva Sims; his children, Brenda Brown (Archie), Pana, Nathan Denton (Ginger) and Atwood; his daughter-in-law Nancy Sanders (Ron); and his grandchildren, Tara Moreland, Floyd Denton (Carla), Darien Brown (Tanya), Melanie Oary (Mike), Heather Hocq (Shawn), Heidi Thevenot (Toni), Hollie Auton (Ed) and Andrew Denton. He is also survived by 20 great-grandchildren; 5 great-great grandchildren.
