He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles and Elaine. He is survived by: his son Nicholas; his wife Bernie; his siblings, Terrence (Julia), Daniel (Catherine) and Mary (Mark); and his nieces and nephews, Lindsey Scholl, Jason Scholl and Taidgh Barron.

Donations in his name may be made to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Fund.
